Diane L. Thompson

Diane L.Thompson, age 81, of Almont, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at her home. Diane was born February 1, 1942 in Romeo, the daughter of Glen and Narcia (Williams) Wells. After graduating from Almont High School in 1960, Diane started working in the family business, “Almont Lock” where she ran the Shipping/Receiving Department until the year 2000. She was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church, where she helped out in the nursery and with Bible Study programs. While raising her boys, Diane was involved with the Almont Athletic Boosters in the 1980’s. Upon retirement, she had more time to golf, and enjoyed all types of crafting.

Diane is survived by her husband of 61 years Ed, sons: Morey (Eileen) of Dallas and Mark, both of Texas. Grandchildren include Nathanial & Elizabeth. She is also survived by her brother James (Mary Ann) Wells of Plymouth, Indiana.

Visitation will be Monday, January 29, 2024 from 3-8pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo.

Funeral will be on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 10am, also at the funeral home.
