Lucien F. Loridon, age 94, a longtime resident of Romeo passed away at Troy Beaumont Hospital on January 17, 2017. Lucien was born January 6th 1923 in Izghem, Belgium to Maurice and Maria (Vanderwatere) Loridon. Lucien was a cabinet maker in Europe before coming to the United States. He then worked at GM until he retired. He married Antje “Ann” Sternsdorff in Belgium in 1944. Lucien was a Red Wings fan and liked to watch hockey and soccer. He enjoyed painting, sculpting and gardening. He was interested in music– and played the organ and accordion. Lucien is survived by his children, Maurice (Diane) of Lenexa Kansas and Johann (Benita) of Roseville, & Ann-Marie (Jeff) Leinenger of Romeo. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Antje “Ann” on August 19th, 2012 and granddaughter Marianne. Funeral services will take place Monday January 23, 2017 at 10 AM with Father Jerry Kessel officating at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8 with a Rosary at 7 PM. Burial will follow at Christian Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
