Richard William Campbell

Richard William Campbell passed away on July 15th, 2022, at the age of 81 from dementia related complications. Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cathie Jane (Flood) Campbell. Richard is survived by Cathie, 2 children: Randy Campbell married to Lisa Campbell and Lori Hoyt married to David Hoyt all of whom reside in Cumming, GA, and 7 grandchildren: Gracie and Andrew Hoyt/Ryan, Timothy, Emily, Kathryn and Benjamin Campbell. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Lyall and Lucile and sister Marilyn Walker. Richard was born on December 9th, 1941 in Jackson, Michigan where he lived until the age of 27. Richard then joined the Michigan State Police and served until 1997. Richard and Cathie moved from Jackson, to Frankenmuth and settled in Romeo in 1976 where they have lived at the same address, 192 Bradley, since. Richard and Cathie were active members at Orchards Community Church in Romeo, MI. Richard was a believer in Jesus Christ and now resides in heaven where there is no sickness or death. Richard was an avid boater who also enjoyed playing softball, golfing, bowling and playing cards with family and friends. Those who knew Richard can attest to his willingness to help others and maintain his immaculate yard. Richard’s memorial service will be held at Orchards Community Church, 74903 McKay Rd., Romeo, MI 48065. Visitation will be from 2 to 3pm with the memorial service following. Richard will be buried in Jackson, MI, at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
