Sigrid M. Lund

Sigrid M. Lund, age 103, a resident of Allenton since 1991, and formerly from Beverly Hills, Florida, and Rochester Michigan, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Sigrid was born December 3, 1917 in Chassell, Michigan, the daughter of John & Kaisa (Isoviita) Kivari. She married Wilho who preceded her in death in 1989. Sigrid worked for Bordine’s Nursery for 17 years after raising her family and retired in early 1980’s. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed bird watching, going to casinos, gardening, knitting, crocheting, oil painting, and just being with her many friends and family. Sigrid is survived by her children: Robert (Janice) Lund of Perrysburg, Ohio, Arthur Lund of Hadley, MI., Don (Linda) Lund of Croswell, MI., Kathryn (Alfred) Schunke of Griffin, GA., Mary (Tom) Hascall of Ortonville, MI., Ruth (Larry) Macha of Allenton MI., Ann (Don) Kendall of Chassell, MI., & daughter-in-law Adelle Lund of Oxford, MI. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and her sister Ruth Landen of Chassell, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilho and sons: Edward & John, and daughter-in-law Carlene Lund. Visitation will be held Wednesday February 10, 2021 from 10:00AM-Noon at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, with burial at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. Local arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
