Adelaide Fay (Barry) Fitzgerald, 93 of Shelby Township, formerly of North Port, Florida and Nottingham, Maryland, died Friday, July 13, 2018 at Orchard Grove Health Campus of Romeo. Adelaide was born in Flint, Michigan but lived most of her life in the Detroit area. She was married to Richard at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida in 1944. Then returned back to Michigan to raise her family. She worked several secretarial jobs and finally retired after 25 years with the City of Livonia as a court secretary. She will always be remembered as a loving Wife and Mother. Adelaide (Addie) was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard, daughter Nancy, brothers Stewart and Orville and sister Lois Damm. She is survived by her sons: Barry (Denise) of Shelby Twp., Glenn (Judy) of Rockwall, Texas, Kevin (Nancy) of Imlay City. Beloved grandmother of seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her sister, Mae Nesbitt of Venice, Florida and Sister-in-law’s, Sophie Barry and Marge Barry both of Warren. And loving companion of 12 years, Frederick Ferenschak, of Maryland. She is also survived by her husband's family: Donald, Marge and sister-in-law Ida Fitzgerald. She will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
