Agnes J. Kutchey

Agnes J. Kutchey, age 93, a 21 year resident of Washington Township and previously from their family farm in Bruce Township, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Agnes was born August 2, 1920 in Royal Oak, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Snyder) Eckert. She married Richard A. “Bud” Kutchey on June 30, 1945 at St Cletus Catholic Church in Warren, MI. Her hobbies include gardening, quilting, painting, refinishing old furniture and being with her many family & friends. Agnes is survived by her children: Carol Kutchey/James Wheeler of Romeo, Kenneth Kutchey of Marlette, Jeanette Kutchey/Al Wellman of Pleasant Ridge, Judy Petrous/Thomas Messina of Romeo, Evelyn (Stephen) Miller of Romeo, Connie Jackson of West Bend, Indiana, & Margaret (David) Sutton of Ray. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, & sisters: Edna Eckert of Mason, MI., and Marion (Harlan) Reid of Sarasota, Florida. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband Bud on December 12, 1976, her son Daniel and brothers Leonard & Bernard Eckert. Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 7 at 10:30 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with private burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township on Tuesday. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8 PM with a 7 PM rosary by the Knights of Columbus, Council # 7018 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
