Albert E. Sowers, Sr.

Albert E. Sowers, Sr., age 83, a 10 year resident of Allenton, Michigan and formerly a 43 year resident of Ray/Romeo, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 10, 2013. Albert was born December 2, 1929 in Blue Ridge, Georgia, the son of Grayson & Isabelle (Gragg) Sowers. He married Mary Ann Dresden on April 18, 1953 at St Albertus Catholic Church in Detroit. Albert served his Country during WW II in the Army/Air Force. After serving his country, Albert then worked for TRW in Sterling Heights for 43 1/2 years in quality control/inspector and retired in 1995. He was most proud of belonging to his Union, Local 247 in Sterling Heights. Upon retirement, Albert enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being with his kids, especially his grandchildren. Albert is survived by his wife Mary Ann, children: David Sr & Irene Sowers of Prescott, Mi., Albert Jr. (Kathy) Sowers of Allenton, MI., Tim (Esther) Sowers of Warren, MI., Greg (Ronda) Sowers of Allenton, MI., Scott (Mary Ann Sowers) Theel of Capac, MI., & Davy (Melissa) Sowers of Ray. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, & sister Lillie Ballard of Blue Ridge, Georgia. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date at West Berlin Cemetery in Berlin Township. Local arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, romeo Michigan.
