Albert F. Sabbe

Albert F. Sabbe, age 83, a lifelong Shelby Twp. Truck gardener, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Village Rehabilitation & Care Community in Armada, MI.. Al was born Jan 6, 1926 in Grosse Pointe, MI., the son of Remi & Irma (Bekaert) Sabbe. He married Alice Malburg on Apr 7, 1951 at St Lawrence Catholic Church in Utica. He was a longtime member of the Macomb County Farm Bureau and was a board member of the Wolverine Growers Assoication. Al is survived by his wife Alice of Washington Twp., children: Mike (Kathleen) Sabbe of Knoxville, TN., Dan (Judy) Dina and Robert (fiancé Jomarie Husband) Sabbe both of Almont. Grandchildren include Bryan (Stephanie)., Kyle, Jennifer, Matthew, Andy, Steven, Nicole, & Noelle. Also survived by his sister Irene Krausman of St Clair Shores. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 AM at St John & Paul Catholic Church of Washington Twp. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-9 and on Wednesday from 2-9 with a 7 PM Scripture service at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo, MI.
