Alida M. Blasius

Alida M. Blasius age 76 of Washington Township and previously from Royal Oak passed away on December 17, 2013 at Troy Beaumont Hospital. Alida was born August 27, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan. She married Harold on April 25, 1959. Alida loved pottery, volunteering at the food bank and the hospital for many years. She drove a school bus for Romeo schools for 27 years and was also president of the Bus Driver Union. Also, she loved her family and was very opinionated. Alida survived by her loving husband of 54 years Harold of Washington Township. Children Rod (Glenna) of Washington, Jenny (Norman) Pytleski of Lakeport, Joe (Cindy) of Harbor Springs, and Ken (Margaret) of Romeo. Grandchildren include Andrew, Michael, Tyler, Tom, Tony, Angela, Erica, Justin, Austin, Breanna, Cambria, Autumn, Kyle, Sarah, and Jason. She was pre deceased by her grandson Joe in 2012. Funeral services will take place on December 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Henry M. Malburg with Pastor Martin officiating. Visitation will be on December 19, 2013 from 4-8 and December 20, 2013 from 3-8 at the Henry M. Malburg funeral home. Burial will follow at Bruce-Armada Cemetery.
