Alta M. Lollar, age 101, a resident of Ray Township since 1951, passed away on November 26, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Alta was born May 2, 1920 in Perryville, Missouri to William and Nelly (Dunker) Schumer. Alta married Clifton Lollar in 1938, and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2009. Alta loved her cat, Mitzy, who was always with her. Alta also enjoyed farming, crocheting, quilting, needlework, and playing cards. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, and was very faithful to her religion. She worked in their nursery for many years, and was also a member of the missionary circle. Alta is survived by her children Beverly (Ron) Force of Ray Township, Yvonne Hopp of Dundee, Illinois, and Marilyn (Norman) Davis of Lake Orion, sister Margaret Sinclair, as well as grandchildren Denise Hopp, Dean (Pam) Force, Renee (Dale) Ostrander, Carrie (Arnulfo) Mendoza, Phillip (Angie) Davis, Kelly (Shawn) McGreevy, 11 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. . Alta was predeceased by her son-in-law Roy Hopp, granddaughter Doreen Hall, and great-granddaughter Kylie Scott. Funeral Services will take place on Monday November 29, 2021 at 11AM at Faith Baptist Church in Ray Township. Visitation will take place on Sunday November 28, 2021 from 4 to 8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI. Burial will take place at the Davis Cemetery.
