Andrea Zelinski

Andrea Zelinski age 46 passed away on August 2, 2019. Andrea was born on February 12, 1973 in Warren to the late Jerome (Tim) Oleksik and Carol Ann (Brinkman). Andrea graduated from Troy High in 1991. She married Brian Zelinski in 2009 at St Clement Catholic Church in Romeo, MI. She also attended Oakland Community College earning her Associate’s Degree. She worked in retail and as a banker. Andrea had a love for traveling frequenting warm climates in California, Arizona and Florida with Brian. She also was known as an athlete with a passion specifically for soccer. Andrea also enjoyed crafting, specifically refinishing furniture with her father in law and husband. She would find old broken tables and chairs and give them a new life. She was known to “see past the junk” and make things beautiful. Andrea is survived by her husband Brian, father in law Neal Zelinski, step father Frank Abram, sisters Darlene Oleksik and Michele Luther, brother in law Matthew (Melissa) Zelinski, Aunt Dorothy (Gary) Meteer, Uncle Jim (Betty) Oleksik, as well as nieces and nephews Fiona, Calvin, Ashley, Blake and Wyatt. Andrea was preceded in death by her parents Tim and Carol Ann Oleksik, and mother in law Brenda Zelinski. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Andrea’s name to Make a Wish Foundation. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Guardian Angel Cemetery in Oakland Township. Visitation will be on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 2-8PM with Rosary at 7PM and on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 9-11AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
