Andres "Andy" Tous Serra (1931-2024)

Andres "Andy" Tous Serra, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 6th, 2024, in Romeo, Michigan, at the age of 93. Born on January 24th, 1931, in Mallorca, Spain, Andy lived a life full of adventure, dedication, and love.

A distinguished graduate of the Spanish military academy, Andy served as a fighter pilot for the Spanish Air Force. His exceptional skills and determination saw him graduate near the top of his class, marking the beginning of a notable military career.

A devout Catholic, Andy's faith was a guiding force throughout his life, providing him with strength and solace in times of need.

Andy was also a devoted husband to his late wife, Betty, who passed in 2012 after a long illness. Throughout her illness, Andy was her primary caregiver, demonstrating unwavering love and commitment.

Known for his humor and easygoing nature, Andy had a talent for making those around him laugh. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Andy is survived by his children Cindy Ligon(Robert), Rosemary Motamedi(Mohammad), Johnny Serra(Karen) and James Serra(Donna), as well as five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. His legacy of love, strength, and joy will continue to inspire his family and friends.

In honoring Andy's memory, we remember a man who lived life to the fullest, dedicated to his family, and always found a way to brighten the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed.
