Andrew B. Russell

Andrew B. Russell, “Moose” age 48, a resident of Richmond since 2003 and previously from Harrison Township passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt Clemens. Andrew was born July 4, 1967 in Bellville, MI., the son of Bernard and Karen (Bauer) Russell. He married the former Clara Esper on December 7, 1996 at St Clement Catholic Church in Romeo. After graduating with an Associate Degree from Washtenaw Community College, he went through the Fire Institute and attained his Fireman/Paramedic License. He currently worked as a Lieutenant with the Harrison Township Fire Department, (Local # 1737) where he has worked for the last 20 years. Andrew was well known at his church, St Clement of Rome, where he served as a catechism teacher for many years and a member of its Knights of Columbus, Council # 7018 where he served as its inside guard. His hobbies include hunting & camping, but most of all being with his beloved children and his many friends and family. Andrew is survived by his wife Clara, children: Eli, Adam & Erin along with his father Bernard and brother Matthew (Hiroyo) of Clinton, Michigan. He was preceded by his mother Karen. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 2 PM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 and on Thursday from noon—8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Donations to the children’s college education fund would be appreciated.
