Ann Bristol

Ann Bristol, age 58, a resident of Almont/Bruce Township since 1976, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at her home after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Ann was born February 13, 1954 in Detroit, the daughter of Rio D. and Barbara (Balog) DellaMora. She married Charles (Chuck) Bristol on April 3, 1976 at St Mary’s of Redford Catholic Church. After graduating from St Mary’s of Redford High School in 1972, Ann then earned her Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Michigan State University in 1976. Ann worked as a Social Worker Case Manager for the Lapeer County Community Mental Health for over 22 years. Along with raising her 5 sons, Ann was also co-owner of Brookwood Fruit Farm in Almont. Ann is survived by her husband Chuck, her five sons: Jeff (Suzy) of Lapeer, Joshua (Chrissie) of Grosse Pointe, Jon (Emily) of Forest Park, IL., Jake (Jill) of Chesterton, IN., & Will (Andrea) of Romeo. Also survived by her parents, Rio and Barbara DellaMora of Farmington Hills along with grandchildren Haley, Madison, Dane, Ava, and Ryan. Siblings include: Paul & Michael (Mary) DellaMora both of Redford, Marie (J.C.) Petersen of Okemas, David (Robin) DellaMora of Livonia, Amy (Tommy) Pearce of Long Island, NY, Julie (Bill) English of Chesterton, IN., Jean (Brian) Hoglund of Northville, and Lisa (Steve) Rotta of Bloomfield Hills. Also survived by Chuck’s siblings: Linda Bristol of Grosse Pte. Park, Caren (James) Walker of W. Lafayette, IN., Jim (Sherrie) of West Branch, and Joel of Almont. Memorial services will take place on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo. Visitation on Friday from5-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Red Cross or to the Lapeer County Mental Health. would be appreciated.
