Ann Marie Beaufait

Ann Marie Beaufait, age 99, a lifelong Ray Twp. resident, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the Clintonaire Nursing Complex in Clinton Township. Ann was born November 1, 1909 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the daughter of Joseph and Caroline (Wnek) Tesnar. She married Louis A. Beaufait on November 11, 1939 at St Louis Catholic Church in Mt Clemens and he preceded her in death in 1977. Ann graduated as a registered nurse from St Mary’s Hospital in Detroit. She then worked from 1955-1980 as a Registered Nurse as an inspector for the group homes in Macomb County. She was a longtime member of the Macomb County Farm Bureau, Macomb County retirees Association, volunteer for the infant program at the Romeo Community Schools, member of the Macomb County Employees Volunteer group and along with her family, they were longtime members of St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo where she was on the Altar Society and counted money after many Sunday Masses. She also enjoyed belonging to many senior groups. Over the years Ann served in her church and community in various capacities, Making the world a better place because she was here. Ann is survived by her five daughters, Lou Ann (the late John) Fanning of Mt Clemens, Jane (Gerald) Avereyn of Grand Blanc, Mi., Rose Marie (Trevor) Martin of Fenton, MI., Barbara (the late Roger) Upton of Washington Twp., and Susan Elizabeth (Richard) Bingham of Rochester, Mi. Also survived by 11 grandchildren & 24 great grandchildren. Precedede by siblings Andrew, Stanley, Walter Tesnar, Jane Lykins , Bernice Lee, & Helen Tesnar. Funeral services will take place on Thurs at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-9 PM with a 7 PM rosary. Donations to the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) (610 W. Elm St, Monroe MI. 48162) or St. Vincent De Paul Society would be appreciated. Visitation: Wednesday 3-9 PM with a 7 PM rosary by the Knights of Columbus, Council #7018 Services: Thursday at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church, Romeo. Visitation at church will be from 9:15 - 10 AM, the hour of service
