Anna E. Barna

Anne E. Barna, age 66, resident of Shelby Township for the last 3 months and previously from the Chesterfied Township area, passed away at her home on Sunday February 2, 2015. Anne was born on December 7, 1948 in Long Branch, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Thomas and Violet (Bazzar) Cobianchi. Anne retired 15 years ago after many years of hard work at the Kroger Grocery Store at Canal and Garfield, where she worked in the deli. She enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, latch hook knitting and regular knitting. Anne is survived by her loving husband John, and her two sons; Bill (Kim) Grech of Romeo, Michigan and James Grech of Clinton Township, Michigan. She is also survived by her two brothers; Robert (Pat) of Oklahoma, Thomas (Phyllis) of Florida, and her grandson Jacob. Funeral services will take place Thursday at 10 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Father Jerry Kessel, of the Capuchin Retreat Center in Washington Township, officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 PM until 8 PM.
