Anthony D. Alampi, age 83, a 39 year resident of Romeo, passed away on April 23, 2013 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. He was born on February 25, 1930 in Detroit, the son of Frank and Josephine Alampi. Anthony married Stephanie Alampi in May of 1954 in Weilheim, Germany. He retired from Ford Sterling Axle Plant after 42 years as a Maintenance Specialist. Anthony proudly served his Country in the Air Force from December 7, 1948 to June 30, 1955, retiring as an Air Force Staff Sergeant. Anthony loved his Country, his family, and his love of animals, trees, and the land will forever be remembered. He is survived by his wife Stephanie of Romeo. Children; Josephine (Perry) Bilotta of Shelby Twp., Frances Alampi of Almont, Frank (Marcie) of Addison Twp., Matthew (Kathleen) of Lake Orion, Stephen of Washington Twp., and John (Barbara) of Armada. Grandchildren Anthony, Charles, Erica, Louis, Nicole, and Kathleen. Brother Matteo and sister Cecilia. Anthony is predeceased by his father Frank, mother Josephine, and his brother Carmelo. Funeral services will take place Friday at 10 AM at St. Clement Catholic Church of Rome, Romeo. Burial will follow at Bruce-Armada Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8.
