Arlene E. Friedli, age 89, a lifelong Washington/Ray Township resident, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Wellbridge of Romeo nursing facility. Arlene was born in Macomb Township, the daughter of Albert and Ida (Rang) Englebrecht. She married Jack Friedli on September 27, 1947 at St Peter Lutheran Church in Macomb Township and he preceded her in death on March 7, 1993. Arlene was a lifelong member of St Peter Lutheran Church and enjoyed her life, especially with her many children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Arlene is survived by her children: Gary Friedli of Armada Twp., LouAnn Friedli, Janet Friedli, and Susan (Mark) Marcereau all of Washington Township. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, sons: John & Tom along with siblings: Norman & Arnold Englebrecht, Elsie Schwark, Ethel & Vera Harder, and Marian Rohrbeck. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 11 AM at St Peter’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Ken Wagener officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Donations to St Peter’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
