Arlene P. Stone

Arlene Patricia (Craig) Stone, of Traverse City, Michigan, formerly of Romeo, Michigan, passed away on January 19, 2018, as the result of a hemorrhagic stroke suffered a month earlier. She was 79 years old. Born on September 19, 1938 to Melvin and Aletha (Ogden) Craig, Arlene was raised in Caro, Michigan. She attended Central Michigan University. She and her beloved husband, Ronald, enjoyed a long and loving marriage, raising four boys together. Arlene worked most of her adult life in the secretarial field, many of which she served in the Romeo, MI school district. Arlene was the epitome of beauty and grace. It was a common occurrence for people to comment on her youthful and attractive appearance, but it was her strong Christian faith that radiated her beauty from within. Her earthly path to follow her dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, inspired her lifelong involvement in and support of her church, missionaries, and many charitable activities. Anyone fortunate enough to meet Arlene quickly realized the love and pride she had for her family. In addition to her husband, Ron, she is survived by four sons; Tim (Laury), Todd (Jenny), Jeff (Carol) and Chris (Sonya), as well as nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Arlene was predeceased by two brothers, James and Richard. Family will receive visitors at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, Michigan, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday, January 22, 2018. Funeral services will take place at the same location, 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at Greystone Golf Club, 67500 Mound Road, Washington, Michigan. A private burial service will occur at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
