Arlene R. (Faulker) Herlein

Arlene R. (Faulker) Herlein age 81, a Romeo/Washington Twp. resident since 1950 passed away on October 20, 2015 at Shelby Nursing Center. Arlene was born on June 14, 1934 the daughter of Miles and Ruby (Unruh) Erdley. On October 2, 1954 Arlene married Paul Faulker at the First Baptist Church in Romeo, Michigan, and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2009. She then married George Herlein on September 20, 2014 at Hope Community Baptist Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan. She loved gardening, cooking, baking and quilting. Arlene loved to spend time with George when they traveled to Port Huron and Rochester where they watched the ducks at the park. Arlene is survived by her husband George of Washington Township, children Carol (Brian) Chaney of Bronson, Kathy (Gene) Ashton of Cosby, Tennessee, Linda (Milton) Stansbury of Romeo, David (Brenda) Faulker of Romeo, and Julie (Chad) McCallum of Noblesville, Indiana, 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Champagne in March of 2014. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. George Johnson and Rev. Chad McCallum officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 2-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial will follow at McCafferty Cemetery in Bruce Township, Michigan.
