Barbara Ann Haska

Barbara Ann Haska, age 58, a five-year resident of Romeo, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at her home. Barbara was born April 9, 1952 in Mt. Clemens, MI the daughter of Harvey and Minnie (Lowell) Haska. She grew up in Roseville, Michigan and after graduating from Oakland University moved to Boston, Massachusetts and later Falls Church, VA where she lived for many years. Barbara served as an Administrative Assistant for several companies throughout her career, but was most proud of her volunteer work for the AAUW chapter in Falls Church, Virginia where she helped coordinate the annual used book sale which funded numerous college scholarships for young women. Her hobbies included crocheting, music, reading and writing. Barbara is survived by her husband Thomas Smith, parents: Harvey and Minnie Haska of Michigan/Florida, and her siblings: Nancy (Lawrence) Allard of New Baltimore, Lawrence (Cheryl) Haska of Warren, Ronald (Heidi) Haska of Belmont, Massachusetts and Pamela (Donald) Walker of Lenox, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Barbara will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 6:30 pm at Grace Lutheran Fellowship, 7525 32 Mile Road, Romeo, Michigan with Pastor Eric Majeski officiating.
