Barbara J. Kaeding

Barbara J. Kaeding, age 86, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Monday, Dec 21 at Lapeer Regional Hospital. Barbara was born Apr 14, 1923 in Rochester , MI, the daughter of Chester and Hazel (Newman) Cole. She married Harold Kaeding in June of 1941 at St John Lutheran Church, Romeo. Barbara worked over 28 years at Interstate Manufacturing before retiring in the early 1980’s. She previously worked for a short time at the Mt Clemens Pottery, helped out on their family dairy farm, and her hobby’s include playing cards, doing cross stitching, and doing cross work puzzles. Along with her family, they were founders/members of St John Lutheran Church in Romeo. Barbara is survived by her sons, Larry (Jean) of West Branch and Lanny (Linda) of Metamora, MI. Grandchildren include Alec (Samantha), Erik, Bradley (Anita), Shane (Leann), & Trevor (Kaylee. Great grandchildren include Paige, Audrey, Austin, Zachary, Gavin, Keith, Trenton, & Tyler. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2-9. Burial will be at the Romeo Cemetery.
