Barbara Jean Goike

Barbara Jean Goike, age 76, a 34 year resident of Romeo, passed away on December 26, 2022 at her home. Barbara was born December 20, 1946 in Utica, Michigan, the daughter of John and Mary (Rinke) Detroyer. On January 6, 1967 Barbara married Richard T. Goike in Utica, Michigan. Throughout her working years, Barbara was self-employed as an Interior Designer.Barbara enjoyed spending time with her grand kids, and time with friends. She loved gardening, designing, and traveling up north.

Barbara is survived by her children Robert Thomas Goike of Marine City, Michigan, Richard Thomas (Melissa) Goike of Almont, Michigan, John Thomas (Tara) Goike of Avon, Colorado, Mary Beth (Bill) Reader of Bloomfield Township, Michigan, siblings John (Julie) Detroyer of Capac, Michigan, Delores Blake of St. Clair, Michigan, Mary Ann (Tom) Janicki of Almont, Michigan, grandchildren, Max Goike, Olivia Reader, Matthew Goike, Jessie Goike, Hannah Goike, Charlotte Reader, Brandon Goike, Trey Goike, Gavin Goike, Lyla Goike, Eva Goike, Skyler Goike, and great-grandchildren Corbin and Onyx. Barbara is predeceased by her husband Richard T. Goike, brother-in-law Bob Blake, and sister Irene Vandenbulke.

Visitation will be on Friday January 6, 2023 from 10-12

Funeral Service will begin at Noon, at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, Mi.
