Barbara T. Battani

Barbara T. Battani, age 88, lifelong resident of Romeo, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Barbara was born on May 28, 1930 to John and Amelia (Przybylski) Battani in Detroit, Michigan. Barbara worked as a social worker prior to becoming a school teacher for Warren Fitzgerald High School. She served the Warren community for 35 years in that role. Barbara enjoyed being a member of the Romeo Historical Society with a great love for giving historical tours, especially of the Starkweather home. Barbara is survived by her niece Diane (David) Dembinski, nephews David (Ginger) Battani and Jeffery (Karen) Battani, sister in law Judy, and multiple loving great and great-great nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Battani. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 7 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home (11280 32 Mile Road Romeo, MI) Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 PM until the service starts at 7 PM.
