Beatrice M. Welch

Beatrice M. Welch, age 74, a resident of Romeo since 1955, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Sanctuary at Bellbrook Nursing Facility in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Bea was born March 22, 1938 in Highland Park, MI., the daughter of Robert and Marie (Currie) Parkin. She married Lawrence E. Welch on Nov. 11, 1954 at the First Baptist Church in Romeo and he preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1994. Bea worked for many years until 1992 at a tax accountant for the Ollie Susan Tax Services in Royal Oak. She previously worked for a short period of time at Interstate Manufacturing in Romeo. Her hobbies include reading and doing Sudoko puzzles. Bea is survived by her children: Carrie Trowbridge and Lawrence Jr. both of Romeo. Grandchildren include Robert, Billy, Don, & Butch, 8 great grandchildren along with sisters Marybelle Keyser of Saginaw and Elsie Golonska of Claire, MI. also survive. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Parkin. Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Bob Bryant of the Stonebridge Church of Romeo officiating with burial to follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 6-8 and on Sunday from 2-8.
