Benjamin F. Reiss

Benjamin F. Reiss, age 81, a resident of Bruce Twp for 48yrs. Passed away peacefully on May19, 2021 at Vista Springs in Romeo, Mi. Benjamin was born on October 16, 1939 in Detroit, Mi; son of Benjamin and Genevieve (Berlinger) Reiss. Benjamin has been married to his loving wife (Janice Fischer) for 59yrs, they married at St. Lawrence Church on September 9, 1961. Benjamin enjoyed coaching his daughter softball teams, spending time at their cabin in Hubbard Lake, Mi; gardening, playing euchre, and tinkering in his garage. He is survived by his loving wife Janice (Fischer) Reiss of 59 years. Daughters Cheryl (Bruce) Cunningham of Ray Twp, Paula (John) Wrobel of Almont Mi. Brothers Edward (Lynn) Siarkowski of Lapeer, Mi; Joseph (Linda) Siarkowski of Almont Mi.Grandchildren Dan (Emily Erickson) Cunningham, John (Chelsea) Wrobel, Linda (Kyle) Lackowski, and Ben (Carly Fouche’) Wrobel. Also three great-grandchildren, Cade and Cora Lackowski, and Fae Wrobel. Benjamin is preceded in death by his daughter Linda Reiss and his brother James Siarkowski. Funeral Services will be private. Local arrangements will be done at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, Mi. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be sent to Hospice Care.
