Benny J. Kappa

Bruno J. (Benny) Kappa, age 93, a lifelong Armada Twp. Resident, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2007 at St Joseph Medical Center in Clinton Twp.  Benny was born January 2, 1914 in Detroit, the son of Andrew and Natalie (Spadzinska) Kappa.  He married Eleanor Cejman on Jan. 14,  1950 and she preceded him in death on Dec. 3, 1979.  Benny love of life was farming, which he had done his whole life and continued to farm till his death.  He delivered eggs to many families in the area for years and he also worked at National Twist Drill for 30 years until he retired in 1968.  He was also a founding member of St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo.      Benny is survived by his two sons, Andy (Denise) and Michael both of Armada Twp. & his two grandsons, Justin (Destiny) of Mars Hill, NC. And Jonathan of Armada Twp.  Also survived by his great granddaughter Lilii.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.       Funeral services will take place on Monday at 11 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with Fr. Stephen Reckker officiating.  Burial will follow in St Michael's Cemetery in Richmond.  Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2-9 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo.
