Betty J. Trowsse

Betty June Trowsse, age 88, a longtime resident of Romeo, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at McLaren Macomb Hospital. Betty was born on July 31, 1934 in Bad Axe, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Violet (Cove) Gardner. Betty married Barry C. Trowsse on March 3, 1950 in Royal Oak, Michigan. She also was an Ordained Teacher in Community of Christ. Betty enjoyed rug hooking, knitting, cake decorating, and making wool rugs. She was also a great roller-skater.

Betty is survived by her children, Christine (Ted) Bentley of Lum, Rory (Sam) Trowsse of Tennessee, and Candice (Richard) Rogers of Richmond, as well as 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Barry C. Trowsse in 2016.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11:00AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Elder Sally Gabriel officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM to 11:00AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Romeo Cemetery.
