Betty J. Weinert

Betty J. Weinert, age 85 a lifelong Romeo resident passed away on June 17, 2019 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital with her family by her side. Betty was born on January 18, 1934 the daughter of Clare and Elsie (Dewey) Schmidt. She was a proud graduate of Romeo High School class of 1952. On March 20, 1965 she married James Weinert. Betty worked for Chrysler for 14 years as a secretary along with working at several bars in the Romeo area for many years. She met and helped out a lot of people in the community. Betty loved the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings. Her passion was spending time with her grandkids and great grand kids. Betty is survived by her loving husband James of Romeo. Children; Lori (Scott) Dingman of Oxford, Lisa Collins of Rochester, Leslie (Randy) Rosenberger of Clinton Township, and Sue (Tony) McMillin of Lake Orion. Grandchildren; Renee, Nicholas (Andrea), Katelyn, Nathan, Lindsy, Jeffrey, Brandon, and Drew. Great grandchildren; Dakota, Haylen, and William. Siblings; Mary Jacob, Shirley Ristow, and Donald Dewey. Betty was predeceased by her brother William Dewey. A visitation will take place on June, 29th from 1-6 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
