Betty J. Westphal, age 85, a 61 year resident of Armada and formerly of Rochester Hills passed peacefully on Tuesday August 19, 2014 in Oakland Twp.. Betty was born on March 19, 1929 in Romeo, Michigan the daughter of Chester and Emma (Stuart) Dellowe. On December 31, 1947 she married Wiley Westphal. Betty spent many years tending to her gardens and caring for the family. She liked to bake a cake or pie for the family. She enjoyed her front yard of flowers that bloomed every year from spring to fall. Lastly, she painted girls portraits and collected dolls. Betty is survived by her daughters Joy (Gary) Satterlee of Hickory Corners and Dolores (John) Dickinson of Casco Twp. Grandsons Steve (Ashley) Satterlee, John (Tammy) Dickenson, Thomas Dickenson, and Michael (Tia) Dickenson. Great grandchildren Austin, Zach, Taylor Dickenson, and Emma Satterlee. Siblings include Goldie (Robert) Ruscoe, Sharon (Stanley) Stroh, Charles Dellowe, and Larry (Marilee) Dellowe. Betty was pre deceased by her husband Wiley, siblings Joan (John) Quitmeyer and Stuart (Betty) Dellowe. Funeral services will take place on Friday August 22, 2014 at 2:30 PM at Mt. Avon Cemetery in Rochester, Michigan. Visitation will be on Friday August 22, 2014 from 10-NOON at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
