Beverly D. Beebe-Verlinde

Beverly D. Beebe (Verlinde), age 77, a resident of Armada Township since 1986 and previously from Shelby Township, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt Clemens, Michigan, after a long battle with ovarian cancer, that was diagnosed in 1994. Bev was born in Toronto, Canada on May 18, 1944, the daughter of Iris (Bozo) Lawrence. She retired from the Oxford Bank on Rochester Road & 32 Mile Road after many years of employment in 1994. Before working for the bank, Bev worked at Filippas Restaurant in Shelby Township. Upon retirement, she enjoyed working in her flower garden, cooking/baking, and spending time, especially during the holidays, with her many family & friends. She was well known for her fudge making skills. She is survived by her longtime companion Joe Verlinde, children: Marc (Rachel) Durkee of Charlevoix, Scott (Ann) Durkee of Clinton Township, and Jami Lawson of Memphis. Also survived by grandchildren Marc, Caitlin, Josephine, & Karly. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo (11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo, Michigan 48065) with entombment to follow at St Lawrence Cemetery in Utica, Michigan. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 3-8 & on Thursday from 2-8 at the Funeral Home. Donations to Ovarian Cancer Research or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
