Blake L. Morefield

Blake L. Morefield, age 46, a lifelong Macomb/Oakland County resident, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Romeo. Blake was born January 12, 1965 in Rochester, MI., the son of Norman and Loretta (Potvin) Morefield. Blake currently works at “Blaze Contracting” in Detroit, operating heavy equipment. He currently belonged to the Operating Engineer’s Local # 324 in Detroit. Blake previously worked with his family, operating equipment, at “Morefield Construction” in Leonard, MI. He loved to be around his family and friends. Blake is survived by his daughter Shannan Morefield of Beaverton, Oregon, his father Norman of Sebring, Florida along with his siblings: Debby Porter of Florida, Pam Brooks of Las Vegas, Cheryl Perry, Cynthia Morefield and Nadine (Gary) Fletemier all of Romeo, Kim (Louie) Kreiner of Brown City, and Jarrett Anderson of Birmingham, Alabama. Blake was preceded in death by his mother Loretta and sister Norma. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Jeffrey Krist of Gateway Assembly of Imlay City officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2-9 PM.
