Carl "Bone" Hintz

Carl W. Hintz, “Bone” age 74, a lifelong Almont area resident, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Carl was born in Romeo on March 4, 1940, the son of William and Luella (Singer) Hintz. Carl was a 1958 graduate of Almont High School. Carl married Connie (Smith) in 1975 at the Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dryden, Michigan. He worked for 31 years at Ford’s Utica Trim Plant until he retired in 1999. Upon retirement, he continued to farm his families farm, enjoyed his garden, cutting wood, and doing “road trips”. Carl was active in his church, Grace Lutheran Fellowship of Romeo, where he served as its Head Usher, started the G. Men’s Club, helped as the assistant cook (to Connie) and chief bottle washer during funeral luncheon’ and loved God’s word during Bible Study. Carl is survived by his wife Connie of Almont, 2 sons: Eric and Andrew along with 2 grandchildren, Easton and Landon. Also survived by his brother Don (Claudia) of Almont, sister-in-law Jean Hintz of Portage, MI. and brother in law, Larry (Bette) Smith of Jackson, MI. Carl was preceded by his brother Albert and parents. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 23 at 5:30 PM at Grace Lutheran Fellowship of Romeo with Pastor Eric Majeski officiating. Burial will follow on Friday at 11 AM at Cadillac Memorial Gardens in Clinton Township. Visitation will take place at Grace Lutheran on Wednesday from 3-8 and on Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 PM when the service will start. Donations to Heartland Hospice or to Youth Ministries at Grace Lutheran. Arrangements by the Henry M.
