Carol M. Herlein

Carol M. Herlein, age 77 a 11 year resident of Washington Twp. and formerly from Romeo passed away on January 13, 2014 at her home. Carol was born on Oct. 9, 1936, the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Kramer) Homfeld. She married George Herlein on Sept. 2, 1955 in Muskegon Michigan. Carol along with her family were long time members of Hope Community Baptist Church. Of Sterling Heights and previously a member of the First Baptist Church of Romeo. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 58 years George of Washington Twp., children Paul(Nancy) Herlein of Sterling Heights and Karen (Brad) Boekeloo of Portage, Mi. Sibilings include Beverly (Jack) Wierengo of Deltona, Florida and Shirley (Myron) Balzer of Spring Lake MI. Grandchildren include David, Ryan, Laura, and Julia. Funeral services will take place on Friday January 17, 2014 at 11 AM at Hope Community Baptist Church (42259 Hayes Rd. Sterling Heights, MI 48313). Visitation will be on January 16, 2014 from 3-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Christian Memorial Cemetery.
