Carol Worek Rochon, age 64, a 25 year resident of Romeo, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy. Carol was born July 18, 1949 in Detroit, the daughter of Walter and Victoria (Zuk) Worek. She married Donald Rochon on June 23, 1979 at the Unity Church in Detroit. After graduating from Wayne State University with Degree in Nursing, Carol worked for many years at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Upon retiring, Carol enjoyed making soap, crocheting, camping, traveling, and being with her many pets, especially her dogs. Along with her husband and family, they were longtime members of All Saints Polish National Catholic Church of Sterling Heights. Carol is survived by her husband Donald, daughters: Melinda Rochon of Lahaina, Maui, Mara(Corey)of Baltimore, Maryland, and Tessa Rochon of Boulder Colorado. Also survived by her mother Victoria Worek of Romeo, and siblings: Mary (Dan) Curtis of Imlay City, Chuck (Sue) Worek of Vancover City, Washington, & Katie (Bruce) Sanderson of Ann Arbor. Visitation will take place on Monday September 2, 2013 from Noon to 6 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo. Donations to the “Gilda’s Cancer Groupâ€, (3517 Rochester Road, Royal Oak, Michigan 48073 ) would be appreciated. A Memorial Mass will take place at All Saints Polish National Catholic Church at a later date. Visitation: Visitation will take place on Monday September 2, 2013 from Noon to 6 at the Henry M.
