Carrie L. Trowbridge

Carrie Lynn Trowbridge, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Carrie was born on April 1, 1957, the beloved daughter of Larry and Bea (Parkin) Welch. She spent her days spreading joy to those around her with her kind words and generous spirit. Carrie was blessed with the opportunity to make many friends and acquaintances in her local community by working as a banker in the Village of Romeo. She continued her career serving the public as a dedicated employee of Washington Township until her retirement several years ago.

Carrie loved her family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, loving mother and grandmother, and had friends so close she considered them to be sisters. She also had a great love for animals, with a special fondness for chihuahuas. She rescued dozens of animals throughout her lifetime including cats, dogs, bunnies, birds, lizards, and even fish, giving them safe, forever homes to live out their years. Carrie enjoyed traveling with her friends, but also liked gardening, puzzles, and spending time with family.

Carrie is survived by her brother Butch, son Don, grandchildren Benjamin and Hannah, nephews Bob, Bill, and Butch (as well as their children and grandchildren), devoted friends and extended family. Carrie was preceded in death by her mother, Bea, and her father, Larry.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 2-8 PM with a service at 7 PM, all held at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI.

Burial will take place at the Romeo Cemetery, on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 11 AM.
