Carroll E. Pallister, age 91, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Center. Carroll was born January 11, 1918 in Detroit, the daughter of Arnold and Nellie (Fitzgerald) Buck. She married Howard Pallister and he preceded her in death on April 20, 1982. Carroll worked for L & L Products in Bruce Township for over 10 years before retiring in 1974. Her hobbies include bowling, sewing, reading, and doing crosswords. Her love of life was her family, especially her grandkids. She was also a lifelong member of St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Carroll is survived by her sons, Larry (Sharon) and Allan (Mary Jo) both of Romeo. Grandchildren include Curtis, Randy, Andrea, Kristin (Michael) Durand, & Jeffrey. Great grandchildren include Bryce, Jacob, & Hunter Durand. Her brother Randall (Evelyn) Buck of Lapeer survives. She was preceded in death by siblings Arnold, Jerry, Velma, Katheryn, & Genevieve. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February7 at 10 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Fr. Doc (Fr. John Ortman) of St Clement Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in the West Berlin Cemetery in Allenton, Michigan. Visitation will take place on Friday from 4-9 PM.
