Catherine Rose Vandenbrouck

Catherine Rose VanDenBrouck, age 88, a longtime resident of Romeo and Washington, passed away at Autumn Woods Nursing Home on Sunday February 8th, 2015. Catherine was born on January 18th, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth (Huypfl) Bast. She married the late Clarence N. VanDenBrouck at St. Clement of Rome in Romeo on November 29th, 1947 and was mother of the late Susan McNamee (Chicago, IL) and the late Kathleen Hennig (Washington, MI). Together with her loving husband, they garden farmed at their home on 31 Mile Road. Catherine also worked as a secretary at Michigan Casting Company, St. Clement of Rome, and St. Isidore churches. "Kay" enjoyed playing cards, cooking, crafts, and children. She is survived by her sister Arline VanDenBrouck (Romeo, MI), two grandchildren Eric (Kalamazoo, MI) and Benjamin Hennig (wife Kelly Jill of Torrance, CA), as well as two great-grandchildren Jack & Freyja Hennig (Torrance, CA). She is also survived by many nieces & nephews. Special remembrance to Kristin Zuchora and Juanita Hutton. Memorial Mass to be held by Reverend Stephen Reckker at St. Clements of Rome on Friday February 20th at 10:00am. Luncheon to follow. Visitation: St Clement Catholic Church 343 S.
