Charles P. Wandrie

Charles P. Wandrie, age 78 a 50 year resident of Ray Township passed away on November 3, 2019 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Charles was born on July 2, 1941 in Harper Woods, Michigan the son of Donald and Louella (Follette). He was a graduate of Harper Woods High School and after graduating he joined the Army for two years where he spent time in Korea. In July of 1961 he married the late Martha Wiseman. Charles worked for the DNR for over 40 years where he was in charge of air quality control. Charles loved his family, golfing, and tinkering with things he was never afraid to try anything new. Charles is survived by his children; Chuck (Okim) of Shelby Township, Kristin VanMill of Sterling Heights, and Derek (Rachel) of Romeo. Sisters; Sharon (Ken) Czarnecki and Sue (Vince) D’epifanio. Grandchildren; Steve Wandrie, Jessica (Trey) Bergquist, Lexi VanMill, Nick VanMill, Sarah Wandre, and Hannah Wandrie. Great-Grandchilren; Sonya and Nolan. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Martha in 2018. Funeral services will be private.
