Charles V. Givens

Charles V. Givens of Baldwin Michigan, formerly of Romeo, Michigan passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.  Charles was born on December 20, 1943 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to Neal and Mamie (Gill) Givens.  Charles married Judy Jameson on March 29, 1969.   He worked for the Ford Motor Company for 35 years.   After retiring from Ford he and his wife moved to Baldwin in 2003.  Charles loved living up north in his home in the woods.  He loved wildlife; the enjoyment of observing deer, listening to the gobbles of turkeys, and bird watching just to name a few.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, building bon fires and 4 wheelin. He was a member of the Good Sam Camping Club. Charles was always looking for a good deal, which is what drew him to garage sales and flea markets.  He loved his pickup truck and was known for wearing cowboy hats.  Charles and Judy traveled all over in their camper.  They spent winters throughout the state of Texas.  Charles is survived by his wife of 48 years Judy Givens of Baldwin, Michigan.  Sons Mark (Ashley) Givens of Romeo, Eric (Christina) Givens of Port St. Lucie, Florida.  Grandchildren Nick and Justin, Blake and Levi, and Lucas. Brother Neal (Donna Givens) of California.  Sister Rosemary Jameson of Baldwin, Michigan, Sisters-in-law Marilyn Miller of Lenox, Michigan, Sandy (Simon) Frith of Ray, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his son Scott in 2013, brother Robert Givens, and sister Barbara Maskell.  A memorial service will take place on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 3:00pm with Pastor Eric Majeski officiating.
