Charles William Shotwell

Charles William Shotwell age 87,of Bruce Township passed away on November 5, 2018 at McLaren Macomb Hospital. Charles was born on June 30, 1931 to Otys and Ruth (Kilgore) Shotwell in Rochester, MI. He married Juanita L. Hamilton in 1951 sharing 67 wonderful years of marriage. Charles was the manager of Ace Hardware in Utica, MI for almost 30 years. He enjoyed helping people with their projects and was always found tinkering and fixing things himself around the house. Charles also enjoyed tending to his garden and had a special love for his tomato plants. He and his wife also enjoyed traveling in their motor home. Charles is survived by his children Deborah Shotwell, Tamara (Edward) Raquel, and Jeff (Kellie McGoldrick) Shotwell ; grandchildren Maren Beth (Lawrence) Morris and Dalton C. Shotwell; great grandchildren Nathen and Lauren Morris; and brother Floyd (Sheryl) Shotwell. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Robert, Max and Alva Shotwell. Memorial Visitation will be held in honor of Charles on Saturday, November 10 from 1-3pm with a Service at 2pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI.
