Christina W. Meek

Christina W. Meek, age 88, a resident of Warren, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Romeo Continuing Care Center. Christina was born April 2, 1923 in Scotland, the daughter of John and Margaret (McGarragle) Spiers. She married William Meek on July 5, 1946 in Glasgow, Scotland. She was a longtime supervisor of housekeeping at South Macomb Hospital in Warren. Upon retiring, she enjoyed volunteering her time at South Macomb Hospital, being a caregiver to many of her friends, being able to drive around her car, and always enjoyed keeping busy in any activity. Christina was a longtime member of Faith Trinity Church in Warren. Christina is survived by her siblings: John (Iris) Spiers of Windsor, Ontario, Robert (Joan) Spiers of Scottsdale, Arizona, Elizabeth Murray of Clinton Township her brother in law William McIntyre of Scotland. She was preceded in death by her husband William along with siblings: Sarah Irwin, James Spiers, Janet McKellar and Margaret McIntyre. Memorial services will take place on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 3 PM at the First Congregation Church of Romeo. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
