Clara Helen Malburg

Clara Helen Malburg, age 95 , a lifelong Macomb County resident, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Vista Spring Nursing Center in Washington Township, MI. Clara was born November 19, 1925 in Warren, Michigan the daughter of James and Clara (Brinkman) Campbell. She married Joseph A. Malburg on April 18, 1945 at St Clement Catholic Church in Center Line, Michigan and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2008. Clara, along with her family were lifelong Ray Township truck gardeners. They were also lifelong St Clement of Rome Catholic Church of Romeo parishioners where she was active with the Ladies Society and helped with many funeral luncheons. For many years, she was a Ray Community 4-H leader. Clara is survived by her children: Shirley (John) Ternes of Ray Township, Sharon Verlinde of Richmond, Marilou Rohrbeck of Shelby Township, Charles (Sharlene) Malburg of Fenton, Patricia (Kevin Hutkowski) Miller of Birchville, MI., Beverly Bettcher of Memphis, MI., and daughter-in-law Pam Johnson of Leonard. Grandchildren include John (Renee) Ternes, Renee (Larry) Ruiz, Michael (Kelly) Ternes, Joseph (Sarah) Malburg, Nicholas Malburg, Dana Malburg, Jason (Jennifer) Verlinde, Ronald Rohrbeck, Mitchell (Samantha) and Jeffrey (Stacey) Miller, James (Melissa) & Laura (Chad) Rabideau. Great grandchildren include Evan, Ryan, Amelia, Abigail, Madison, & Maya Ternes, Jillian & Keegan Ruiz, Noah, Liliahna, Camille, Tatum & Paislee Verlinde, & Tucker, Audrey Miller, Harper, Pyper, Henry, & Grace Miller , & Joel, Rylee, & James Bettcher & Ryder Rabideau. Also survived by siblings: Rosalie Debeaussaert and sister-in-law Georgina Campbell. Clara was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, son Joseph, son-in-law Al Verlinde, son-in-law Ron Rohrbeck, and grandson Steven Malburg. Siblings that preceded Clara in death include sisters Geralda Kaltz, Lorraine Trombley, Madeline Theut, Bernadine Monnig and Cecilia Kaltz on Feb. 14, 2021 along with brothers Arthur, James, Louis, Anthony, Raymond, Robert, and Donald Campbell. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 10 at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Private burial services will take place at the Davis Cemetery directly after the Mass on Wednesday.
