Clarice Lorraine Smith

Clarice Lorraine Smith, age 87, a lifelongresident of the Romeo – Washington area, passed away at her home in Washington Township on Monday, January 31, 2022. Clarice was born August 19, 1934 in Mancelona, Michigan, the daughter of Roy and Dixie (Stamper) Edwards. Clarice was well known for baking cakes for weddings, birthdays,and special occasions for family and friends. She was also a care provider for the elderly. She loved golfing and crocheting in her free time.Clarice was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Washington. Clarice is survived by her children: Ron (Ginny) Bishop of Haiti, Kristine (Gary) Bishop of Florida, Randy (Luann) Bishop of Indiana, Judy (Tim) DuPont of New Baltimore, Julie Bishop of Washington, and Billy (Tena) Bishop of Indiana. Clarice is also survived by her sister Thelma Thorman of Elsworth, Michigan,along with 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. MalburgFuneral Home of Romeo. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 12 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Phil Fitzgerald of First Baptist Church of Washington officiating. Burial will take place at the Romeo Cemetery.
