Clayton R. Kaufman, age 78, a 40 year resident of Washington Township and formerly traveling all over the world while being in the Air Force, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy. Clayton was born August 25, 1934 in Altoona, PA., the son of Milton R. and Mary E. (Lumadue) Kaufman. He married the former Marion Warner on April 20, 1956 in Mt Clemens, Michigan. Clayton spent 20 years in the Air Force, traveling the world at different Air Force Bases, serving as a fireman. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Clayton worked for the Royal Oak Post Office for the next 20 years, before retiring again in 2002. He then worked part time at Grey Stone Golf course in Washington Township as a starter/ranger for many years. His hobbies included golfing and traveling around the country and the world with his wife. Clayton is survived by his wife Marion, children: Richard (Andrea) Kaufman of Sterling Heights and Janice (Bob) Randall of Romeo. Grandchildren include Clint (Stacy) & Travis Randall, Samantha Kaufman and one great grand child Payton Lee. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jack.
