Cynthia L. Guss

Cynthia L. Guss, age 71, a 13 year resident of Romeo and formerly from Lakeville/Utica area, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at McLaren-Macomb Hospital in Mt Clemens. Cynthia was born February 14, 1945 in New Jersey, the daughter of Colonel Stephen Jr. and Georgette (Flannigan) Guss. She called herself an Army Brat growing up as she traveled to many army bases during her early life. After high school she worked as a secretary in the Law Office of Corbin & Corbin in Romeo and upon moving to Hawaii, she worked for a while as a secretary for the local cable company. Her hobbies were just being with her many friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Cynthia is survived by her children: Kimberly (Joe) Riley of Washington Township and Gregory Totorean of Clear Water Florida. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her partner Bert Brocone, and 2 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will take place on Friday from 5—7 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
