Dale E. Abercrombie, 73, passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2025. Born to Roy and Violet Abercrombie, Dale lived a life full of passion for the outdoors and deep love for his family.
A true outdoorsman, Dale found joy in hunting, fishing, and shooting skeet and trap at the gun club. He cherished pontoon boat rides and time spent at the cottage, a special retreat where he and his family created countless memories. He often fondly recalled shaking ice in his big mugs and having lively conversations with his sons about hunting and fishing. His hands-on skills shone through when helping his daughter with car and machine repairs, he was always just a phone call away. Dale also served two years in the Army.
Dale's sense of humor was ever-present, whether teasing his grand dogs or sharing laughs with family. He treasured time with his grandsons, watching SpongeBob and Hotel Transylvania, and he always welcomed sci-fi movie suggestions from his daughter-in-law, Kasey. He also enjoyed chatting about the military with his daughter-in-law, Lindsay. A spirited game of Euchre and good conversation were among his favorite pastimes.
For 48 years, Dale was the devoted husband of Beth. Together, they shared a life filled with love, from bonfires to boating and gatherings with family and neighbors at their beloved cottage—their favorite place to be.
Dale worked as a heavy equipment operator and later as a maintenance director before retiring. His dedication to his work and family was evident.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beth; his children, Adam, Angela (Lindsay), and Andrew (Kasey); and his cherished grandsons, Lennox and Declan. He is also survived by his mother, Violet, and his brother, Brian. Dale was preceded in death by his father, Roy. He also leaves behind Beth’s large, loving family of brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews, all of whom he treasured deeply.
Dale will be truly missed, but his love for the outdoors, family, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
