Daniel J. O' Brien

Daniel J. O’Brien, age 78, passed away on April 4, 2022, at Troy Beaumont Hospital. Dan was born on October 15, 1943 in Detroit, the son of Daniel and Dorothy (Kroll). Dan was a graduate of East Detroit High School. After High School he went into the Army, where he proudly served for 2yrs, the last year in Vietnam. During his working years, he was an electrician with ATT Communications. He loved to travel with family and friends. Dan was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 7018. He spent many hours helping around St. Clement Catholic Church, where he helped with the Funeral Luncheon’s and anything else that needed to be done at church. You could find him every day and sometimes more than once a day at the Time Square restaurant in Bruce Twp. eating with his many friends. Dan is survived by his sisters Beverly (Chuck) Dickens, Mary Ann Burgess (O'Brien), brother William (Nancy) O'Brien, and 16 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty in 2002, also Patrick O'Brien. Funeral Services will take place on Friday April 8, 2022 at 10am at St. Clement Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 7, 2022 from 2-8pm at St Clement with a rosary at 7 PM. Burial will take place at the Scotch-Settlement Cemetery in Almont.
