Darlene J. Bolone, age 50, a 23 year resident of Almont and formerly from Romeo, passed away on Sat., April 10, 2010 at her home. Darlene was born September 29, 1959 in Detroit, the daughter of Richard and Pearl (Zielinski) Wirth. She married Paul Bolone on August 13, 1983 at St Mary’s Mystical Rose Catholic Church in Armada. Darlene was a 1977 graduate of Armada High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society, received her Bachelor Degree in English and a minor in theater from Michigan State University on June 10, 1983 and then received her Masters from Oakland University on June 3, 1995. She has been an English Teacher since 1986 at the Armada High School and was the teacher of the year in 2006-2007. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and doing cross stitching. Along with her family, they are current member of St John Catholic Church in Allenton. Darlene is survived by her husband Paul of Almont, sons: Paul & Gino both at home. Also survived by her step-mother Judith Lee (Jerry) Sioen of Ray Twp., along with brothers Kenneth, David, & Daniel all of Macomb County and her sister Sandra Evely-Elston of Brown city. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Richard. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 10 AM at St John Catholic Church of Allenton with burial to follow at West Berlin Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo on Monday from 6-9 and on Tuesday from 2-9. Donations to St Jude’s would be appreciated.
