David Mark Hopp

  David Mark Hopp, 63 years old, of Rochester, MI, passed away at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital in Troy, MI on the night of February 18, 2025, due to complications from the influenza virus. 

David was raised in Washington Township, Michigan and was a class of 1980 graduate of Romeo High School. 

David is survived by his son Joshua, his brother Thomas Hopp (Felicia Reber), his two sisters Denise (Thomas) Obrecht, and Karen Apczynski, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Harold.

David’s son Joshua is Autistic and David was his provider and caregiver, he did not have funds set aside for a burial and his wishes were to be cremated. There are no plans for a celebration of life or service at this time. 

The family will humbly accept donations to help cover the cost of cremation and permanent resting place. Any remaining funds will go towards helping with Joshua’s living expenses. Thank you.
